ITEM: 1,000 words or more critique (plus a follow up phone call or meeting) of 100 page partial (or less) of a middle grade or young adult fiction or non fiction manuscript within 28 days of submission (excepting the month of September).
DETAIL: Ginger Clark, literary agent at Curtis Brown, LTD (New York) will give you 1,000 words or more critique of your middle grade or young adult fiction or non fiction manuscript. If you submit it to her she will get back to you within 28 days, unless you send it during September (when she has extensive travel planned) and then she will need extra time which you two will discuss and agree upon. After you receive her critique, you will have the opportunity to set up a time to speak on the phone to ask follow up questions. If it’s geographically possible, you might be able to meet in person as Ginger does travel a lot.
BIO: Ginger Clark has been agenting since 2001. She represents New York Times bestsellers, Indiebound bestsellers, Edgar winners, Hugo winners, World Fantasy winners, Nebula winners, a Printz Prize honor winner, and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She handles British rights to entire children’s list at Curtis Brown, so she knows the British market, and she visits London at least once a year to meet with editors and see clients. She is the Chair of the Contracts Committee of the AAR.
