ITEM: Editorial critique from Hutchinson (Penguin Random House) editor, Sarah Rigby

DETAILS: I will edit the first three chapters (up to 10,000 words) of your novel or non-fiction work-in-progress, plus give advice on next steps and the publishing process. I mainly publish narrative non-fiction and literary/literary-commercial novels for adults, so if your book is children’s, YA or straight genre (eg Sci-Fi, Thriller), another of the brilliant editors on here might be the one for you.

BIO: Sarah Rigby is Senior Editor at Hutchinson – an imprint of Penguin Random House – which publishes, among others, Helen Dunmore, Carys Bray, Sebastian Faulks, Robert Harris, Rob Cowen, Alice Roberts, Alexandra Heminsley and Shaun Usher. Sarah commissions narrative non-fiction (memoir, history, autobiography, nature writing), a small but perfectly formed range of gift/lifestyle books, and literary/literary-commercial fiction. She is also a mentor on The WoMentoring Project and the WriteNow scheme for underrepresented writers. Twitter: @Sarah_E_Rigby
