The world of the emerging author is fraught with pitches, prizes, fickle publishers and endless advice on how to be the Next Big Thing. It’s all too easy to forget how pleasurable, uplifting and exciting playing with words can be. Join award-winning novelist, former Creative Writing lecturer and the Scottish Book Trust’s first Writer-in-Residence, Keith Gray for a workshop focused on the enjoyment of getting words on the page. No pressure, no deadlines, just for the fun of it. Includes a cocktail and special offer courtesy of The Printing Press Bar and Kitchen. BIO: Keith Gray’s books have either won or been shortlisted for awards all over the world including the Sankei Cultural Publishing Prize of Japan, the American Library Association Best Books (YA) and the Booktrust Teenage Prize. In the UK his bestselling novel ‘Ostrich Boys’ has been adapted for the stage and was shortlisted for the prestigious CILIP Carnegie Medal, the Costa Children’s Book Award and won the Scottish Children’s Book Awards.
